Fixed My Leith

Last week we reported on the new "Fix My Leith" page that we'd set up to try to encourage people to report neighbourhood problems to the council using the website www.fixmystreet.com . We're pleased to see that, since then, a couple of other Leithers did indeed make reports to the service. We're even more pleased to report that the graffiti that we reported last Sunday evening was removed by the council by the following Thursday.

Credit where credit is due, we have to say that a four day response time from the council graffiti squad is impressive. We hope that this proves to others that you don't need to live on a street with graffiti, and that there are services out there that that can sort this problem quickly - even if catching the vandals that do it is a lot harder.
