Ally The City of Edinburgh Council have launched a dedicated website for the Leith Neighbourhood Partnership.
The Leith Neighbourhood Partnership is one of 12 that cover the whole city. They're at the heart of the City of Edinburgh Councils attempts to devolve decision making to local communities, and are comprised of a board made up of community representatives, local businesses, local councillors, voluntary organisations, housing associations, the emergency services and the NHS.
The partnerships meet in public and anyone can submit questions to the partnership meetings. This is one way for Leithers to raise issues of concern to them and hold their elected representatives to account. The website does include links to all the reports and papers that are relevant to the meetings, so hopefully this will help more people participate meaningfully in some of the discussions that take place at these meetings.
The next Leith NP meeting is on the 23rd of September at 7pm, in the MacDonald Road Library.
